My expectations of Steamers Cafe were: overpriced, small selection, and boring. Was i ever wrong. This gem in the Stanley Hotel is the only place to eat breakfast if you are staying there. True, it is not a destination spot if you are staying in Estes Park, but if you're in the Stanley it is an oasis. The coffee is wonderful and the I especially liked the ham & cheese croissant. It is very reasonably priced. Decor is not that remarkable, but it is just an elevator ride down if you're in the main building.

Steamers Cafe is a great place to cool off (or warm up) with top notch coffee, fresh baked pastry items, free Wi-Fi and in our case the Fire Truck exhibit. Not sure if that's a regular feature as we were there the day of the Sundance for Horror Film Festival. Well, not for the festival itself it was just an accident. And while the previous reviewer state that you have to pay $5 for parking, not true. That's only if you want to park in the close lot. of The Stanley Hotel. You can park anywhere on Wonderview Avenue free and just walk up the hill. Just look out for deer poop as there's a lot of it on that hill.

Stopped here for a mocha which was AMAZING! We were staying in the hotel and I wanted coffee (there was a Starbucks in town)...was a little hesitant to try Steamers but I'm so glad I did cause it was so good!! We didn't try any pastries or food but it did look really yummy! If you are a hotel guest or not a fan of Starbucks which is the only coffee shop in town or just want a good fresh cup of coffee then check out Steamers!

Nice little coffee shop in the lower level of The Stanley. They have a decent selection of snacky food (gelato, cake, brownies, sandwiches, shakes, smoothies, coffee, tea, etc). We had a brownie that was TO. DIE. FOR. It was obviously homemade. The chocolate gelato was also great. There were a few computer terminals if you are interested. Decent coffee and typical selection of sodas. If you are looking for a quick afternoon or late morning stop for a bite this is a nice option for an on property cafe.

This place is lovely! The service is fast and friendly, and the drinks are quality with plenty of selections and additional options. We stayed at the Stanley Hotel for the Stanley Film Fest and this place became a nice morning ritual to get the day going. Even if there was a line, the staff moved quickly so we never had to wait long. There's also plenty of seating where you can get some work done, catch up on news on the TV, or use one of their computers for internet access. It's what you'd expect for a coffee shop as far as food goes. They have pastries and little pre-made sandwiches. If you're looking for kitchen style food and service, you're better off going upstairs to the hotel restaurant. But if you're looking for a tasty beverage or even some great gelato, you should definitely hit this place up.

Suffering from jet lag, I mosied down to the the Steamer's cafe at first light. The mountains were pink with the sunrise light. The cafe had not officially opened yet at 6:15, yet they were still eager to serve me and another early riser. Two giant lattes served up fresh and hot with such genuine kindness and service it is worth a note of "thanks" for starting my day right! Thanks Steamer People! While I was there, the pastry chef arrived with the day's AMAZING looking and smelling hot fresh croissants, turnovers, scones- WOW! I only had enough cash for the lattes, but I am already plotting out the week's breakfasts... Nice showing, Stanley! Classy!

We were at the Stanley for a tour, and were early and hungry. It was too early for lunch, but just the right time for a snack. So, we popped in Steamers Cafe to grab a little something to eat. As soon as I saw the huge selection of gelato through the glass, I had to have some (I love, love gelato). The friendly woman behind the counter let me sample three - blood orange, cinnamon, and blueberry lemonade. All were tasty, but the blueberry lemonade was out of this world good. I settled for a serving of that. For two and a half huge scoops, it was just $4. Awesome! I cannot describe how good this gelato. It had the perfect consistency, was the right temperature (not too cold), and had the best flavor. It had fresh blueberries in it too, which added a great texture. My fiance had an cookie ice cream sandwich ($2), which he really enjoyed. Not really my thing, but he's a very picky eater, so it must have been good. A couple of people mentioned Steamers Cafe isn't worth a visit if you're not at the hotel, but I don't think that's true. You can park downtown and just walk, it's not too far. The gelato is seriously worth it - trust me.

Delicious Pastries, Cool Gelato, and Fresh Coffee are the reasons Steamers Cafe in the basement of the Stanley Hotel is a busy spot to relax or grab a quick pick-me-up. A Cream-filled Doughnut and Butter Croissant were the lures that drew me to the pastry counter. The pair working behind the counter really enjoy their jobs. Caffeine and sugar in the morning with a smile is the way to start a vacation day. It's a little dark, so, don't be shy about taking your coffee and snack up to the beautiful outdoor patio looking out at the majestic Rocky Mountains. Note that this really is a place designed to serve guests of the hotel. Locals will probably not want to pay the $5 parking fee or trek up the hill just for ice cream, pastries, or coffee.

Meh. Cafe au late was not very flavorful. Don't come if you want breakfast. Continental at best. Ambiance could do with a makeover considering the site. I would rather go to Starbucks... And that says a lot.
